Recipe Ideas:

Shortcrust Cookies: All ingredients must be cold. 250g Schär Cake and Cookie Mix, 75g powdered sugar, 80g butter or margarine, 1 egg, 8g baking powder, 20ml water, zest of an untreated lemon.

Preparation: Place the flour on a pastry board and make a small indentation in the middle. In this hollow, add sugar, egg, water, butter, lemon zest, and baking powder. Process the ingredients into a dough and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before use. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out cookies. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 10 minutes until golden brown. This shortcrust dough recipe is also ideal for lattice cakes.

Sponge Cake Base: Bring ingredients to room temperature and preheat the oven according to temperature instructions.

Ingredients: 220g Schär Cake and Cookie Mix (sifted), 150g sugar, 125g butter or margarine, 3 eggs, 8g baking powder, 125ml milk. Preparation: Beat the butter until creamy, add half of the sugar, and process for about 2 minutes until homogeneous. Add egg yolks, flour, baking powder, and milk, and mix well. Beat egg whites with the remaining sugar until stiff peaks form, then fold into the mixture. Pour the batter into a buttered and floured springform pan and bake in the preheated oven at 180°C for about 50 minutes. Garnish with vanilla cream, jam, or fresh fruit as desired. For a chocolate cake, add 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder to the batter.
