Tip for Drying Your Novelty Pasta

If you would like to dry your UFO and alien pasta for later use or as a homemade gift, the detailed shapes can become more fragile once dried. We recommend adding 2g locust bean gum and 5g gluten to the pasta dough to help make the dried shapes more stable.

How to Clean the UFO Pasta Disc

For the fine UFO and alien openings, we recommend using our special pasta disc cleaning tool, as the original Philips cleaning tool is too thick for our detailed novelty pasta discs.

First remove excess dough from the back of the disc. Allow any remaining dough inside the detailed openings to dry completely for approximately 8 hours. Once dry, tap the disc gently and use the fine tip of the cleaning tool to push any remaining pieces of dough through the disc from the front.

The UFO pasta disc is made from POM (Polyoxymethylene), a strong and durable plastic commonly used for precision components. Its properties make it particularly suitable for detailed pasta discs, and the material is also dishwasher safe.
