With this FunCakes Mix for Royal Icing you only have to add water to get this really nice firm glaze. You can change the consistency according to your preferences by adding some more water. This makes the Royal Icing perfect for cake decorations as well as glazing cookies. The royal icing hardens completely afterwards and can be coloured in every desirable colour with the FunCakes food colourings.
With this Icing Sugar Mix its fast and easy to make royal icing that creates hard-drying decorations. Easy to mix, just add water. This Icing Sugar is also great for 3-dimensional decorations and cookie decorations.
Royal Icing is a pure white icing that dries to a smooth, hard, matte finish. Besides its lovely finish it also colours beautifully which makes it a favorite of professionals who use it not only for frosting cakes and cookies, but also for intricate piping of decorations (flowers, borders, and lettering). This icing hardens completely and is suitable for covering your cake, piping decorations and decorating and glazing cookies.
Preparation: Add 55ml of water per 450g of sifted mix for Royal Icing with a stiff consistency. Mix the icing for approx. 7-10 minutes on low speed to a stiff, white icing. The icing is ready when it is bright white, has lost its shine and you can pull peaks that don’t fall back. If using a hand-held mixer be careful that it does not jam! Tip: Add 1 teaspoon of water per 200g of icing for medium consistency, or 2 teaspoons of water for thin consistency.
