This Katy Sue mould Rose Cones and Thorns is perfect for making rose cones and thorns. The finely detailed design of this Sugarcraft mould produces perfect results every time. The Rose Cones and Thorns Mould is perfect for cake decorators making sugar roses, sugar flowers, flowers, gumpaste flowers, bean paste flowers, and also cold porcelain flowers and clay flowers.
The centre of every rose is a cone shape and getting the proportions right for this is crucial to the overall flower shape. This innovative silicone mould will create 3 sizes of cones with a perfect shape every time. The unique wire channels built into the mould mean your cone can be fully wired and batches can be made in advance.
The mould is easy to use and can be used with flower paste, modelling paste, marzipan, chocolate, candy and boiled sugar. Besides that, the mould can also be used for craft projects. You can use it also with cold porcelain, salt dough, air drying clays and embossing powder. We recommend that you use the mould for food projects or for craft projects, not for both.
How to use: push fondant into mould without overfilling. Scrape away excess fondant so that you can see the design outline. Place the wire and let the cone dry for 1-2 hours. Turnover and release embellishment gently. Fill the cone mould again and press in dried half to stick them together. Lightly dust the silicone mould with corn flour to ease release.
Wash and dry mould well before use. The mould is oven safe (to 200°C/392°F) and suitable for the dishwasher.
