The Midnight Black edible dust colour is a 100% edible, fine powder. The edible lustre dust is ideal for flower work and other sugarwork. Apply the powder over the surface with a dry brush for outstandting results. Lustre dust can also be used as a paint by mixing a small amount of dipping solution with the dust until the required consistency is achieved. It can be used thinner for painting onto cakes to achieve a water colour look or thicker to highlight areas of work.

Sugarflair Edible Lustre dusts are ultra fine powders that can be brushed on dry. Colours can be easily blended together to create a vast range of shades and tones. The colour can be layered to create subtle or dramatic shading. After dusting the sugar flowers can be passed briefly through steam to 'set' the dust.

Although it can be mixed into modelling or covering pastes the lustre colours do not give a shine to your paste when mixed into the icing so it is not the ideal colour for this use - Sugarflair Spectral Paste colours are perfect for this use.

This phial contains 4g of powdered food colour. Because so little food colour is needed you will find that this lasts and lasts. Sugarflair edible lustres are intermixable, eg. add snowflake to sherry, cooper, bronze for a beautiful sparkle effect. Create new colours by adding blossom tint dust to snowflake or pearl white.
